Data Analyst - Compliance (Remote)
Overview
This position is responsible for gathering, organizing, and analyzing large data sets using data analytics techniques and tools, to ensure data quality, integrity and compliance with applicable laws, regulations, and Bank policies to assist in the execution of Corporate Compliance programs. Partners with the Compliance Testing team to support test plan objectives including pulling populations of data and creating automated or full population testing. Develops reporting dashboards, workflows, or other technical solutions in support of the Compliance Testing and Analytics team.
This is a remote role that may be hired in several markets across the United States.
Responsibilities
• Data Analysis - Gathers, organizes, and sorts data to develop moderately complex testing and reporting for the department, business unit staff, and other stakeholders. Accesses structured and unstructured systems across the organization, utilizing coding efforts where needed to meet testing requirements. Provides effective and timely communications on findings.
• Systems Support & Governance - Develops and maintains databases and systems ensuring data is in a readable, organized format. Removes corrupted data and corrects coding errors and related problems. Troubleshoots department information systems in a timely and effective manner as needed. Identifies process improvement opportunities, proposes system modifications, and devises data governance strategies.
• Reporting - Analyzes and produces reporting for management and other stakeholders regarding the Bank's risks, trends, patterns, and exceptions. Assists senior management with compiling, preparing, and completing of committee presentations, annual audit plan, and risk assessments.
• Operational Support - Provides support for the department regarding technical inquiries by coordinating with external vendors or internal subject matter experts.
Qualifications
• Bachelor's Degree and 4 years of experience in Banking, financial or other directly related industry OR High School Diploma or GED and 8 years of experience in Banking, financial or other directly related industry
Preferred Qualifications
• 4 years of experience using tools such as, or similar to: SAS, R, Python, SQL, Oracle, IBM Cognos, Tableau, Microsoft Power Tools (Apps, Automate, BI)
• Risk or Compliance background a plus

The base pay for this position is generally between $95,000 and $140,000. Actual starting base pay will be determined based on skills, experience, location, and other non-discriminatory factors permitted by law. For some roles, total compensation may also include variable incentives, bonuses, benefits, and/or other awards as outlined in the offer of employment.
